Includes primarily auditing/accounting duties with a lot of room to grow.

Responsibilities of the position include:

Attest Engagements

  • Lead attest engagements such as audit, review and compilation procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Organize and collectively work on engagements as a team.

Tax Engagements

  • Become proficient in the preparation of corporate, partnership, individual and fiduciary tax returns under the direction of more experienced staff.
  • Become familiar with pertinent Internal Revenue Code sections and regulations.
  • Preparation of tax and financial statement workpapers, including trial balances, depreciation schedules and debt amortization schedules.
  • Working with the Thomson suite of tax and accounting software as well as Microsoft Office and multiple versions of QuickBooks.

Ideal Candidate

  • Have a college undergraduate degree and have completed at least 30 hours in college-level accounting courses.  It is preferable to have 1-3 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Understanding of the rules, requirements, code of conduct and standards of the AICPA, and the authoritative literature established by the FASB and GASB.
  • Great communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
